We want a little feedback from ya'll (what, are we Southern now?) Vote in the sidebar for the color YOU think the treehouse should be! This is AMERICA! Let your voice be heard!!!
What do the various colors mean? Will orange give our kids some energy in the middle of winter? Is pink soothing? Lets pick a color that creates the tone, adds to our purpose...
I'm no expert, but this is what I found on the internet ;)....
Red (apple) - •Red is a bright, warm color that evokes strong emotions, associated with love, warmth, and comfort,as well as feelings of excitement or intensity.
Blue (blueberry) - •Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. It is often described as peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly.
Purple (plum) - •Purple is the symbol of royalty and wealth. It also represents wisdom and spirituality. It does not often occur in nature, it can sometimes appear exotic or artificial.
Brown (Sierra) - •Brown is a natural color that evokes a sense of strength and reliability. It can also create feelings of sadness and isolation. It brings to mind feeling of warmth, comfort, and security, and is often described as natural, down-to-earth, and conventional.
Pink - •Pink is thought to have a calming effect. One shade known as "drunk-tank pink" is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates. Sports teams sometimes paint the opposing teams locker room pink to keep the players passive and less energetic.
Yellow (lemon) - •Yellow is a bright that is often described as cheery and warm. Yellow is also the most fatiguing to the eye due to the high amount of light that is reflected. Using yellow as a background on paper or computer monitors can lead to eyestrain or vision loss in extreme cases. Yellow can also create feelings of frustration and anger. While it is considered a cheerful color, people are more likely to lose their tempers in yellow rooms and babies tend to cry more in yellow rooms. (Editorial note: YIKES!)
Green (kiwi) - •Green is a cool color that symbolizes nature and the natural world. Green also represents tranquility, good luck, health, and jealousy.•Researchers have also found that green can improve reading ability.
Orange - •Orange calls to mind feelings of excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth. Orange is often used to draw attention, such as in traffic signs and advertising.
Gray - Gray is most associated with the practical, timeless, middle-of-the-road, solid things in life. Too much gray leads to feeling mostly nothing; but a bit of gray will add that rock solid feeling to your product. Some shades of gray are associated with old age, death, taxes, depression or a lost sense of direction. Silver is an off-shoot of gray and often associated with giving a helping hand, strong character (sterling in-fact!).
